*The EP was a special Ecopower model for the Italian market only. It uses a 16 valve low pressure turbo (LPT) engine and has a pre-heated catalytic converter. As to my knowledge 3 and 5 door 900ep's were available. The 900ep was brought to Italian market due to high taxes for regular turbo charged engines as the tax was directly linked to car's bhp. Italy was the fourth biggest market for 900og after Sweeden, the US and UK, so the Saab decided on creating a downgraded turpo for his Italian dealer.
